The descent takes between two and three hours and includes six rappels ranging from eight to twenty-two metres, three natural slides, and a dozen swims through pools fed by lateral springs. Water temperature holds steady at seven to nine degrees Celsius throughout the summer. The canyon's gradient averages twelve per cent, with several vertical drops requiring dynamic rappel techniques.

The Auerklamm, located further upstream, offers a shorter descent suited to families, while Alpenrosenklamm demands prior climbing experience and a tolerance for cold water immersion. Operators including Feel Free and Area 47 run daily tours from May through September, weather permitting.
